Lighting design for Swiss Artist for Smiling Gecko

On September 23, a benefit concert was held at the Hallenstadion in Zurich to support the aid organization “Smiling Gecko.” COLD was asked to handle the lighting design and its on-site implementation. Gölä, Gotthard, Pegasus, and Seven rocked the stage in front of 9,500 music fans for the families in Cambodia’s slums, waiving their fees. The total proceeds of 507,348 Swiss francs were presented to Swiss photographer Hannes Schmid, founder of the charity Smiling Gecko, in the form of a symbolic check. The participating companies and organizers worked on the event without compensation.
